Something is Missing for a lot of Teen Girls Right Now.

They're navigating more pressure, more fear, and more noise than any generation before them, with fewer chances to just stop, breathe, and find themselves.

Our Wilderness Rites of Passage Trips were built for exactly this moment.

They help Teen Girls find...

Real challenge.

Time away from screens.

The chance to discover what they’re truly capable of.

For thousands of years, cultures guided young people through rites of passage experiences to help them step into the next stage of life with confidence and purpose.

Our Wilderness Quest journeys bring this tradition back in a safe, guided way through multi-day backpacking experiences in the Marble Mountains of Northern California.

👇 What Parents and Teens Say After They Return

“My daughter attended the rites of passage wilderness backpacking trip and loved it! Jasmyne is an amazing mentor and guide and my child felt very comfortable with her and enjoyed the experience so much! I highly recommend this challenging adventure for your tween/teen! She learned so much about herself and loved everything about it!”

-Parent

“My daughter joined in on a 5 day youth backpacking trip summer of 2024 and she had a wonderful time. It was a great experience for her. It was a very hard hike for her, but the feeling of accomplishment afterwards far outweighed the temporary discomfort. They kept the kids very well engaged in games and council and so much more. My daughter enjoyed it all. She made lasting friendships as well. Jasmyne was so accommodating and helpful getting ready for this big trip. We felt comfortable and well prepared. I highly recommend Jasmyne and her unique programs that touch tween and teen lives in a very positive way!”

-Parent

“I am thrilled to have [my daughter] participating in this amazing offering in the fall. This is the woman who led the backpacking trip (for five days and four nights in the Marbles) that [my daughter] absolutely loved this summer. The emotional growth that we saw from just that one week with Jasmyne and her team still has us in awe. I want to share this opportunity for any local friends who might not yet be aware of it. If only something like this had been available when I was growing up!”

-Parent

“Our daughter went on a guided passages rites of passage backpacking trip. She had the time of her life She learned lots of valuable lessons and made a bunch of friends.

Guided Passages really did their best to help us overcome any barriers we had that would have prevented her from attending this trip. Thank you so much again for everything. This was the trip of a lifetime for our child.”

-Parent

"I always have the need to be constantly busy to avoid having nothing to do but going on this trip helps remind me why it’s important to just sit and think. It pushes me to do things I don’t like to do sometimes too lol. Like drinking butter syrup water in the rain, climbing up a hill just to get my tooth brush, or making me really stinking grateful for indoor plumbing. It helps me realize that I can do hard things and push myself and it all ends up okay. I see my growth through these last couple years and I love seeing how all of my friends grew through it too. Going backpacking makes me a better and happier person so I’m very excited for the opportunity to do it again."

-Participant, age 15

"My son went on [a Guided Passages] trip last year. I noticed the change in him the second he got out of the car in that parking lot. You know that kind of confidence that changes the way you walk? It was that. You can't buy that. It's priceless. If you could bottle that up and sell it, the entire population would be addicted. And he hasn't stopped talking about it. Guided Passages has entered the lexicon of my home. I've said this before but I'm not sure to whom, but last year his goal was survival - can I get to the end? This year I think it's conquering. Oh, and it is required that we go to Get in Gear like at least twice a month now and he's been spending his allowance on gear. You all had a hand in that. Bravo."
